HILL WALKING
Chris Hughes Multi Activity Services (CHMAS) believe that hill walking is an activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities, and that with high quality guidance and instruction, everyone can enjoy the restorative powers of the mountains. GUIDED WALKS
If you are new to hill walking and want to be guided through some spectacularly stunning scenery, whilst picking up some essential skills on the way, then our guided walking course is for you. Skills covered will include basic map reading, clothing and equipment selection, weather and emergency procedures. Our instructors are also full of knowledge on the local flora and fauna, and can orientate you to how the region's history has influenced the landscape.Dates/Venues

FUNDAMENTALS of NAVIGATION
Perhaps you've been hill walking for a while but would like to feel more confident in your navigation, especially in mist or low cloud. On this course, our instructors will show you how to navigate off the beaten path, increasing your route options and ability to stay located. This course is designed to explain the basic principles without confusing jargon, whilst taking in some scenery at the same time!Venues

MOUNTAIN SKILLS
If you would like to come and walk some of the dramatic higher peaks of the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia National Parks then this course is for you. On this course you will learn about map and compass skills, reading the weather, emergency procedures, and planning and preparing for your treks.Venues

NATIONAL NAVIGATION AWARD SCHEME
Walking in the mountain environment or through open country is simply magical and that's enough for some people. Others may prefer to have a bench mark standard to compare themselves with. If that's you then the National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) could be just what you are looking. There are three levels Bronze, Silver and Gold and we can currently offer Bronze / Silver training and assessment courses.Venues
