ABSEILING & CLIMBING

Abseiling and climbing is a great activity to build trust and confidence in young people and have quite a lot of fun in the process. Depending on your requirements we offer half or full day taster sessions at either at a local crag or climbing wall. Also through our associations with various climbing walls we are able to offer training & assessment for the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS).

We use venues in Shropshire and Llangollen for these activities so that the requirements of the group are matched to the size and location of the venue.

ARCHERY

It's relatively easy to shoot an arrow at a large target but it takes practice, concentration and self control to develop consistent accuracy. As a result, archery is an activity that caters for a range of different personalities and goals. From those with a competitive streak that want to be the best they can, to those that simply want to enjoy the experience, each can approach it in their own way.

We generally make use of the established range at the Adventure Rope Course in Shrewsbury. However, in theory, we can set up a range anywhere where we have permission, enough space and can stop people from walking behind the targets!.

ADVENTURE ROPES COURSE

The Adventure Ropes Course offer a huge scope for team development, through looking after each other, working together, co-operation, encouragement and trust.

We now have access to the Adventure Ropes Course at Shrewsbury which offers the High All Aboard, Crate Stack, Jacob's Ladder, Giant Swing, Climbing Wall, Abseil, Leap of Faith, Parachute Simulator, the Adventure Tunnels and a range of ground based team tasks. We don't force anyone to do anything they don't feel comfortable with as there is always the option to stay on solid ground, or take things as far as you want to go.

BUSHCRAFT

Bushcraft is one of my favorite activities and is a great way for young people to come together outdoors, make new friends, have fun and learn about the environment.

We have access to private woodland near Shrewsbury for our courses or if you prefer, provided you have a suitable location, then we can run courses on your grounds. Our taster sessions are quite popular or for the more adventurous there are overnight courses too. Whatever you chose you will be longing to do more!

CANOEING

Simply messing around in boats is a great fun and there is no better craft than the canoe for groups to come together on the water and have fun. As the canoe is paddled in pairs it is good activity to improve communication, teamwork and co-operation.

We use a wide ridge of venues for these activities from quiet lakes (Ellesmere), canals (Shropshire Union) gently flowing rivers (River Severn) so there is something for everyone regardless of ability.

CAVING

Caving really allows you to get under the surface of the earth to explore and find out how these wonderful passages were formed. As we delve into the earth they will learn to confront their fears, support each other, communicate and work together as team to successfully complete their mission.

We use Ogof Llanymynech for the majority of our caving sessions as this provides suitable challenges for all abilities.

HILLWALKING

Being out in open countryside can really spark a young persons curiosity about the natural environment add to that the benefits of working as a team, supporting each and spirit of adventure from getting from A to B and its easy to see why so many people take part in this activity. We can provide nature walks, orienteering, navigation skills training through the National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) and incident walks where the team is expected to navigate to a location to complete a set task and then move on to the next location.
